Hi there, Chicago QBN'ers or Chicago savvy peeps, will be there next sunday for a week, looking for wisdom on the next topics:
Food: Whatever, I'll take it, food trucks, Pizza, Korean, or Vietnamese are top of my list, any other must?
Museum/Galleries: Very interested in contemporary art, anything I can't miss? Doesn't matter, mainstream or underground, just looking for the real deal.
Books/Magazines: Cool and rare design, contemporary photography and european fashion magazines, something like this:

Techno: Venues? I will be hitting Smart Bar to see Dense & Pika but something else on that line could be cool.

my cousins cousin had to sleep on the street once in Chicago, some homeless dude stole his shoes then he got frost bite on his feet and had to have them partially amputated, since then we called him lieutenant Dan

pizza... Santulo's is my favorite

Pequod's - deep dish
Del Seoul - Korean Mexican fusion
Noodles by Takashi - ramen
Xoco - Mexican
Cemidas Pueblas - Mexican
Au Cheval - Hipster diner
Girl & the Goat - American (go to the bar and you can get a seat easily)
Museums - Art Institute, MCA
Hoods:
Wicker Park - shoes, clothing
Lincoln Park - Zoo lakefront
Westloop - galleries, clubs, restaurants
Logan Square - venues, bars
Loop - museums, touristy stuffLots to do. Have fun.
