Dropbox just announced that the 9.99$/month plan with 100Gb of storage will now have 1Tb of storage.
That means Dropbox equals Google Drive who is offering the same plan; 9.99$ for 1Tb
They also announced many new features, info over there: http://mashable.com/2014/08/27/d…
I know there's often question about those services on QBN. So now you're up to date.
I was on Dropbox before but I switched to GDrive when they announced the 1Tb for 9.99$ plan a few months ago. I think I will go back to Dropbox, i always liked DB better.

The version history of Dropbox saved my ass a couple time. Google don't have that feature.
Also, the syncing is better with Dropbox. When working with large file in GDrive, i often have error message when I try to save the file because it's still syncing in background... Dropbox dont do that.

Seems like it's €9.99 if you visit the site from Europe — which works out to about $US13. Still, I'll probably switch back over from Google Drive now.
- i'm uploading all my files on Dropbox right now. Should take 1 day or 2.benfal99

I recommended my employer run Dropbox for Teams for the past few years and I've had a personal account for years as well. The whole reason we stick with it is that it has almost always "just worked" when it comes to syncing across all platforms — the most important bit really. It's got a few quirks but nothing I couldn't solve or handle on my own and as has been mentioned, the versioning is super handy.
On the OS X you can do crazy advanced stuff via symbolic links like syncing your iTunes database, After Effects or C4D plugins or settings across computers as well (note, this can get pretty advanced and is a bit fragile so it's not for just anyone).
It is a good solid product. Here's hoping they keep at it.

new features for Dropbox :
Passwords for shared links — This means you can now password-protect a link you send out, adding an extra level of security to who can see what you share.
Expirations for shared links — You can designate expiration dates for a shared link.
Ability to remotely wipe machine or device's Dropbox — Now when you remove a device from a Dropbox account, you also have the option to remotely wipe the device's Dropbox folder.

"Dropbox is competing more squarely with Google and Apple. The difference, at least from Dropbox's perspective, is that its service works on virtually every platform, and it has best-in-class sync."
I would say it's totally true. I tried Google Drive, Box and OwnCloud and Dropbox is the best one.
