Design book agent question

So I'm working with a partner on a product design book and it's going really well. I'm designing book and she's writing.

We've made it pretty far and at this point have reached out to an agent who really dug the agent package, but as nice as she seems - may not be the right agent for this type of book. Plus, she seems like she has a ton of stuff to do and is not able to focus on the sell.

We also have a reallllly great contact at a major publisher and have been "casually" invited to send material - but only after we mentioned the package will come through the correct channels.

    1. Should we just go ahead and send to the contact?

    or

    2. Continue on with same agent and also attempt to hook up with another?

You guys ever dealt with this sort of thing?

    Best,

    J
