Reading through that, there seems to be no solution. It seems if your external server, hard drive or whatever idles for a moment you are fucked and have to restart your computer.
Only work around is to work off your local hardrive.

Moving it won't help. You need to restart your machine. Then all will be well. The guy I sit next to has this happen every single fucking day!! I don't know how to stop it.

- the problem is using the cloud for your files, not ccdoesnotexist

File won't open. Gives the error. "Network connection was lost for file. the file was modified bu another process"
The file icon is white...doesn't show the Indesign icon. On a scale of 1-10....how fucked am I?
