That website is a beast, hundreds of pages... My guess it that the backend is controlled by an IT department with complicated cart systems and analytics tracking. Companies like this take forever to get a large project, like going responsive, off the ground.
- I thought that Apple of an efficient, thought and innovations leader?utopian
- I work for a large 'innovative tech leader' as well, so that guess came from my current experience.dirtydesign

Because the idea of a decent browser making 'real' websites on a small screen accessible. No need for this responsive shit that's just cutting off information.
- I don't think you quite get how good responsive design works.ETM

- I'm not convincedmekk
- We're in a field constantly evolving, while also being trendy. You adapt or die.ETM
- You apply timeless princpals to short-lived concepts every day to be successful.ETM
- Or you can still do Flash sites with splash pages that say 'Enter Here'. :)ETM

Does anyone actually shop on their phone?
Maybe because they have to worry about working on IE and school computers and Surface, the last thing they care about is perfecting their site for people who already own their product.
Making your website look good on iPhone is every developers last priority unless they're making an app site.
- my clients demands are v.different to yours.fadein11
- yes - and people on their smart phones spend moreSlashPeckham
- making my websites look good on a phone is a high priority to a lot of people with large % of mobile traffic, and that's a lot of ppl.Hombre_Lobo

How is it possible to not know what responsive design is? A website scales down to a breakpoint, where it then serves up a different version of the site. People make a bigger deal of responsive sites than it really is. Responsive design is just common sense. How do I make shit look best on a small screen...
- ^CygnusZero4
- doesn't serve up a different version of the site though - elements are just adapted for the different screen size - same site.fadein11

- and background technology to deliver the right scripts and assets to increase performance. this is where your hours are goingmekk
- You know what I meant. Not an entirely different site. Rearranging of elements.CygnusZero4
