Shopify is incredible.
Really easy, really customisable. Also, their customer service is outstanding.

shopify = mid-range bells and whistles, imho

- i love shopify, but the cart/checkout/shippi... side if things is very closed and limiting. we've had to use magento for projects that shopify wouldnt work on. even things like (i think) gift vouchers etc dont work in shopify. Magento is a pain in the ass, especially for the client, but it can be made to do almost anythinghardhat

if you want all the bells and whistles, go with shopify

"They are stupid people, with minimal knowledge of anything" = most clients
ive been working on a woo-commerce site for a client,
if your client wants all the bells and whistles stay away from woo,
but if they want a minimalist ecom site, its cool and really easy to setup/mod.

I'm in the process of creating a site + online store for a client, they are small and a bit disorganised at the moment but they are growing fast.
They will have to give access to overseas partners to run their own online shop, so my direction is to use several Tictail shops per country need, which is perfect except they don't let you customise the cart / checkout language, and that can be a deal breaker for them. I'll try to shove it down their throats anyway but I would like to know of YOUR alternatives. There's thousands online, I've already checked a few.Note: They are stupid people, with minimal knowledge of anything, so it needs to be dead simple to operate, and I want to minimize my risks also by trying to avoid anything too custom.
