i've used it and it's awesome. saves so much time. it doesn't crop images so what I do is mask the folder or layer with the canvas dimensions.

That's pretty dope. Seems to crop mine when I do it. Works well.
I swear I use 1.8% of photoshops capabilities!
How do I mask things that aren't on the canvas?
I stumbled across this solution:
The way I got round it was to create a solid-fill layer, and group it with the image. Then I applied a layer mask to the GROUP, and named the group as the required output file.
^that's basically what I was saying in my post (albeit not very clear). all you have to do is ctrl + a then hit the add layer mask button on the bottom of the layers pallette.
