I'm trying to figure out what do on this one. it seems its not going through regular political venues. almost completely neglectful of true legality of how these agreements can lawfully be done. No one in high politics is impeachable it seems or accountable...

They (corporations, gov, bankers) need fascism and control in order to survive in this technological and info age Thats why they try to legislate fascism. Practically this is nothing new historically. Population control in through malnutrition of masses, and creating a psychopathic society as way of destruction while they make money from the war, death that is brought on.

That crummy site The Blaze had an article yesterday about how Obama is pushing this. There are 22 Republicans against it, so can I assume then that the rest of the Republicans are FOR it? It really irks me that they didn't even once mention the Republican support for it, but that would go against The Blaze's agenda of making everything about, and only about, Obama.

    • that's just Glen Beck... dude think he's a prophet... ... blow that nonsense off :)PonyBoy

I noticed a lot of people don't really understand this and I was one of them. This is what the formation of a international Corporatocracy is looking like, goodbye democracy hello globalized fascism. Its really unsettling.

    • what is the difference between this and the trans-pacific one?uuuuuu

I'm wondering what other corporations besides Monsanto have a big interest in this. I'm thinking possibly oil and gas companies. There's been a lot of issues around fracking recently so I'm wondering if this gives these companies broader powers to manipulate government regulation of this practice. I don't know if this is related though, is it?

Another one would be large entertainment and media companies with big copyright interests.

    • ah didn't see the first link, lots more info there. yes oil and gas companies.uuuuuu

Monsanto’s about to celebrate their biggest coup ever, but we’ve got until the weekend to stop them.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a huge, ultra-secret deal among twelve major countries that would give corporations unprecedented power -- allowing them to use new global tribunals to sue our governments for passing laws that protect us, but reduce their profits! This could apply to everything from labeling GMO foods to protecting internet freedom. Wikileaks has broken the story and opposition is building fast, but the countries are rushing to seal the deal in 48 hours.

This is insane, but we have a chance to stop it -- 3 countries are wobbling, and if they pull back now the whole deal could crumble. If we deluge leaders in Chile, New Zealand and Australia with a global call to stand strong, we can stop this corporate takeover before Monsanto uncorks the champagne. Sign up now and share this with everyone:
