I used Getty Images once...what an epic waste of time. The idiots essentially researched the same images that I found on their website.

I agree. Obviously I'll tell them what agency I'm working for, which will hopefully help. BUT, I'm betting it's not the same level of service as the place I used to work. We bought loads of photos and practically got free BJs from sales reps (90% discount).

"...this means that they see me as a new customer and probably don't take me as seriously, right?"
i hope not. unless they are operating a successful business on opposite day.

Hey all,
I have a fucking nightmare of a task ahead of me in regards to selecting new brand images for a project. I have to select 60 images based on fairly specific criteria which will then be narrowed down to 40 final images by the client.
Have any of you ever used the 'search assistant' services that Getty and other stock sites offer? I'm wondering if it's worth it or not. The last thing I want is to get harassed by some salesperson when they've provided me with nothing but shit images anyway. The agency doesn't have any official accounts so I have to use a personal account... this means that they see me as a new customer and probably don't take me as seriously, right?
