Anybody do any of their own business marketing on Facebook? Are the results worthwhile?

From what I've seen it works best for (and against, in some cases) large companies, with a large customer base that want to discuss it online. Small companies put them up, but they feel like anorexic websites.

Are you talking sponsored-targeted ads? Or putting your company on FB?

it's worthwhile if you have content going up regularly and you're seeing an increase in activity, more fans. you have to have the audience first to see any results.

Both are good. Ads if you are willing to spend. Company page for driving traffic to site. How could it not be worthwhile with that potential audience?

We do a lot of it and it works if you have sexy content. However the idea of paying to advertise mostly to and audience you spent money and time to build is the the biggest scam in marketing. It's like someone showing up at your agency and telling you that they are going to charge you to talk to your clients. We are telling our clients to use Facebook to build following on their websites! Imagine a medium that you can control and get a dollar for dollar return on!
- Not even close to the biggest scam in marketing.nb
