Indd help - rectangles, fills, outlines

Is there a way to accomplish this in InDesign by using two rectangles, fills and outlines? I can get the outline on the outside of each (black and red), but then it always shows an outline where the two colors (black and red) end up meeting together. Can you have a stroke on only one side of a box?

Yep. You can have a stroke on one side of the box if it's a table.
I'm pretty sure you can also use the direct select tool to erase one side of the box and get rid of the stroke from that one side only.

But this is easily accomplished with two boxes anyhow.
1. Give the bottom rectangle a cyan stroke (set to the outside of the box) and a black fill.
2. Copy that box to the front, remove the stroke and make the fill red.
3. Profit?

No, it's three boxes
> make black box 40x10
> make red box 60x10
> make 3rd box with 8pt cyan stroke
>copy black box > paste inside cyan box >copy red box >paste inside cyan box
