I believe that unless they have the fonts installed themselves, you have to use something like webkit, no?

Whenever we use non-web safe fonts, I have to generate numerous font file formats(eot, woff, svg) for cross browser rendering and IE8 is not recognizing the EOT font file that was generated from an online font converter service. I've tried many online services, and the EOT files are not rendering in IE8.
If you can find something similiar, I can use it for IE8 only. Its just that the client will view in IE8 and the site will look like crap with how its currently rendering.

If you're using a online font converter service, then it's going to look crap in IE8 no matter what font you pick. Needs to be properly hinted.
