If you publish a site using flash as html with html 5 videos does the viewer need to have the flash plugin necessarily? I am not a web designer but I am trying to learn about flash. Would I just want to use js to create this? Thanks

The site would have a few video buttons that when clicked would be playable

You want to learn Flash now?
I don't think it's a good time for that unless you're a heavy player already.. But what do I know..

i'm confused by the question.
if it's in flash, they need the plugin to see it.
does that help?

The question really would be what is the best way to have 6 video thumbnails that when you put your mouse over it it would show portions of the video and then when selected that particular video would open up pushing the other thumbnails out of the way. That is what I am trying to achieve. Perhaps I should post an add on Krop/QBN and hire someone to help me with this. I shoot and edit video and want to showcase some of my pieces. Hope that clarifies.

What you're looking to do can be achieved in Flash easily. I'm not so sure if you can do the same thing with javascript.
- ok i guess that answers it. Not sure I want flash player to be a mandatory elementSrSamaurai
