Large Format Printer

Thinking about investing in a printer over here for my little studio.
Looking for something that will go up to 12x18, if not 13x19. Primary use would be for printing review proofs for clients, decent quality prints for my button maker, and I'd also like something that can print nicely to transparencies for screen printing needs, but that isn't a requirement.
Something with decent ink economy would be nice. Haven't had a larger format printer since 2006, so really not sure how they have changed in recent years.
As far as budget goes, I'd like to stay under $1k, but could possibly go a little higher.
If I can't find what I'm looking for, I may also look into leasing something much nicer.
Thanks in advance!

I'd tell you to get Stylus Pro 4900
but it's twice as much as your budget...
17" wide
360 nozzle per colour. give you super fine detail.
8 colours and 2 blacks (matte black and photo black). great tonal range. not sure about ink economy. I don't pay for them lol.
love that machine.- The 4900 has the worst reviews I've seen on a printer in a while: http://www.amazon.co…********

+1 for the Canon Pro 9000 Mk II - all these decent printers run on rocking-horse shit but quality from this one is top drawer.

Circling back around on this topic. The time to pick up a printer for the home office is now. Any new input?
