"We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what we’ve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.
Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.
Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile."

Does the sensor need to be centered below the TV? Or can it be off to the side as long as its in the general area beside the TV?

"Here's how the system works: when you buy an Xbox One game, you'll get a unique code that you enter when you install that game. You'll have to connect to the Internet in order to authorize that code, and the code can only be used once. Once you use it, that game will then be linked to your Xbox Live account. "It sits on your harddrive and you have permission to play that game as long as you’d like," Harrison said."
- there goes the days of just bringing the game disc over to play at your buddy's house.BabySnakes
- Could you not sign in on your account and download?set
- so ya now you have to log in download and update, 2-3 hours later you can play.BabySnakes

- you dont own the game, you have "permission" to play the gameOP31
- So it's basically like PC games have been... always.ETM

I don't have cable, so I don't care about the TV integration. All my movies are already on a WD media center. I want a disc-less gaming console that I can download games to. I'll probably pass on this, and hope the Steam box becomes a reality. I already have 30+ Steam games and have been playing more on PC then xbox lately. I might not be the target for this console.

My two cents on a few things... . To me, with the design, they are trying to look less like a cool kid's toy and more like a cable box/basic A/V component. Hopefully if heat is not an issue, something that you can stack easily too. Make sense if they are targeting the living room and whole family, and not just the basement room for the kids to play.
Besides, does anyone 'display' their game console?I missed the first part of the stream today, and whether they explained the name, but it seems like ONE maybe trying to state that it's all-in-one, or THE one, entertainment box you need.
I am just interested now in Sony's response, which I assume will be at E3.
- Yeah I thought the meaning of the name was pretty clear.CygnusZero4
- Okay good. Seemed obvious. Not sure all the confusion about it.ETM
