that's a tough one being that it's a synth. seems more hand assembled than handmade
- although there are other items on there that could be classified as hand assembled too.dbloc
- yeah, most stuff is just glued together anywaymonospaced

He needs to make the cover out of yarn,, and not any two can look alike.

If the guy is building a decent synth, he should be selling them in his own store, and building a following elsewhere.

He has a lot of videos that show him building stuff

Really like this guys stuff, but yeah noticed in one email he says:
"I outsource the circuit-boards. They’re printed in China. The chemicals involved in the production of them are not suitable for homes."
then
"The PCB was sourced from Music from Outer Space, an online synth hobbyist store. The owner, Ray Wilson, explicitly gives permission for the resale of his boards in finished projects. I adhere to his policies."
Get the feeling that all that other stuff was just etsy looking for info on wether he'd just used a kit from MFOS - I don't recognise the PCB, so maybe he did get it manufactured himself (based on Ray's circuit design)... but he really doesn't clarify either way.
Not a big fan of folks selling music/ electronics on etsy anyway, it's really not designed for it.
- Yeah, and if I knit a cap, the wool thread might be made in China. What's the difference?monospaced
- i'd definitely think of this more like buying a hat from china and sewing on a design...kingsteven
- problem is, you wouldn't get banned for that on etsy.kingsteven

- yeah. it's totally cool if you own or operate the cnc yourself. this guy (obvs... because it's much more complicated) gets all his bits from suppliers.kingsteven
- bits from suppliers. feel for him, but not really what etsy is for.kingsteven
