To be honest that food looks worth moving to Portland for.
I would help but the only thing I know about Portland is from the episode of the OC.

If you don't mind ad agencies, Wieden+Kennedy is one of the best and in Portland.

I've been in Portland for over 12 years and I've never heard of any Game Industry/UI jobs here. Seattle or San Francisco would probably have more of those kind of jobs but the cost of living is way more in those cities.

Currently living in San Francisco and I work as a UI Artist. There are a lot of jobs here in SF for UI Designers and Artist if you are interested in going down here. From what I heard, it's hard to look for a job in Portland.
- Thanks for the heads up, interesting to know its hard to get a job , do you work as a UI designer for Games or web? M
mattwrightgd - it's not that hard, plenty of UI, web or Print work but no game companies.

Hey Matt,
Be mindful that the "romantic & rustic" Portland that is portrayed and glamorized in Indie Rock videos, documentaries, TV shows etc... is only only facet of the greater Portland area. There is also a much darker and seeder side of Portland and is perhaps the nations Meth, Speed and Heroin capital of the U.S.A.

There are more strip clubs per capita than anywhere else in the US. It rains a lot. The people are very friendly. It's extremely segregated, racially. It's quite cute to look at in the 'burbs. It has great outdoorsy stuff going for it. Fantastic selection of local beers. Everything is LOCAL! Great restaurants.
- Great shell art scene too.eoin
- Oh, and marijuana dispensaries!
eoin - extremely segregated, racially that sucks :(
mattwrightgd - And shell art.eoin

If you're thinking of getting all up in any cult's grill while you're over there, I highly recommend Children of a Higher God. Really excellent ayahuasca policy. My girlfriend joined them but we're OVER now.
