Have any of you gone through your fonts and uninstalled or removed many that are similar? I've been doing this lately to keep programs from being so bloated with options - like disabling Asian character fonts (I'm not racist, I promise) that never get used.
I've also narrowed down to about 10 serif fonts total. Created a "Favorites" folder in FontBook and the whole set is only 57 of the 520 on my computer. Now, if only I could take the time to deactivate the ones that are not favorites. Is there an easy way to do this on a Mac, maybe with something other than FontBook?

Yeah, get FontExplorer. I activate/deactivate sets every time for a new project. Literally clicking a button. You can also organize sets by project. I have a folder within FontExplorer for every client, and a different set for every project.
I couldn't imagine not using it.
