Online Booking & Members Area

I recently built a site in Wordpress for a Veterinary Consultants and they want to include an Online Booking System for courses they offer as well as a Members area. This doesn't necessarily have to be done through a Wordpress plugin and could possibly link to an external site. I'm just wondering if anyone has used an off-the-shelf system that can do either of these? I've come across http://www.planyo.com/ but am just curious if anyone has used anything better.

Client of mine used http://www.bookeo.com which is pretty good by all accounts. Client runs fitness classes so needed memberships, bookings and payments for different classes/packages etc. Not essential from what you say but I don't think you can drop in to WP.
