"Blue" is more a service pack. Not a new version. Certainly not 9.

think of all the nazi jokes when windows 'nein' comes out
- They'll be lost among all the other 9-related Nazi jokes you're always hearing.i_monk
- Yeah, this was a huge problem for Mac OS 9monospaced

Will the users all claim it's great now, like when they slightly tweaked windows vista and made 7
- windows 7 was nothing like vistafadein11
- way to show your ignorance of the subject404NotFound

haha How was it nothing like Vista?
Did you even use Vista?
- well for one, driver support for vista was crap. Win7 has the most robust off the shelf driver catalog ever seen in any os.plash
- ooooh, DRIVERS!monospaced
- Vista was poorly optimized.7 launches with fewer start-up services and those services run in parallel utilizing multi-core threading.plash
- Remote access such as, VPN Reconnect, Multiple Active Firewall profiles, DirectAccess, BranchCache; non of this is present in Vista.plash
- non of this is present in Vista.plash
- mono, dont you use apple?plash
- i say that cuz apple folks either dont care or know how to build a box. in which driver support is important.plash
- I have used both for years. Macs have always had the upper hand with drivers built in but less options.monospaced
- fucking PCs, some are so retarded they have to install drivers for each USB portmonospaced
- and just because I prefer Apple doesn't mean I'm a fanboy, I defend them and Jobs because of what they did wellmonospaced
- i really could care less if you're a fanboy or not. nothing wrong being passionate about a system.plash
- and "built in drivers" dont know about that.. i use both too and at least with apple use anything not made by and support goes out the window.plash
- support is nonexistent.plash

Windows blue screen of death?

I'm a big fan of Windows 7 and I hate Vista, but they are functionally pretty much identical.
Vista is just a slower and shittier Windows 7, or a slower and shittier Windows XP.
W7 is no means a revolutionary design over Vista, it's just built well.
- and thats exactly what made it so different - superfast / stable etc.fadein11
- Much bigger fan of it than OSX at this point.CygnusZero4

Hey, do you do or use that thing that I don't? It sucks! I don't care if it works fine for you. I know better. You just don't realize it sucks.

"well for one, driver support for vista was crap. Win7 has the most robust off the shelf driver catalog ever seen in any os."
It's funny you criticise its driver support when it was simply the fact you upgraded too early and Win7 doesn't have "better driver support" it's just the makers of your crummy hardware have finally got round to shipping drivers that would have worked on Vista if you'd upgraded at that point.
Windows users in a nutshell.
