HOLY OMG. My Internet world revolves around Google Reader. WTF.

Wow, this is ridiculous. Google Reader has been an invaluable resource for keeping up with a myriad of sites for years for me. This is really upsetting and surprising, and I am disappointed and outraged at this decision. Wow.
- No kidding. Same here. Absolutely invaluable resource to me for years. I've had huge fears of losing all my feeds.mg33
- to clarify - this is not my response. Well, this is - but that wasn't.detritus

Why kill it thought? What resources does it require? Can't they just let it sit there and work and not give a crap?>

Im' checking out Google Currents, but it seems like a bad idea because it's going to put RSS feeds in a single Feeds category. I'm subscribed to 209 feeds in Reader, all carefully organized by topic groups. Hell no I'm not just tossing that into one mass list.

OK, sorry for all my rambling. I think Pulse wins since it's also on the web. http://www.pulse.me. It's layout is something that wins me over with the tiles. Funny to think that I've always used Reader in the mode where you only see the headlines.

It was bad for Google, it made you read articles without ads.
The only reason they kept it was to know what you read.
