There's a new Ricoh out in Sept apparently - GRD5 maybe with a large sensor. I never say it's worth waiting for anything but it'll be worth trying when it's available.

I'm a big fan of these mirrorless beasts, and follow the tech news around them.
Fuji colors are epic, to me they have the best color rendition of any manufacturer. Followed by Olympus, followed by Sony.
But currently my personal fave (with inbuilt EVF) is the nex 6 -
Decent compact lens too. And one thing I'd want is great video, which it does v well. 1080 60p with lots of detail and good in low light (not as good as the GH2 for video, but not much is for this price range).
I think the OM-D EM-5 is great too. I like the Oly colors a lot, but the larger nex sensor (without the cam being bigger) swings it for me. For both low light and DOF.
Times are good though, big heavy cameras are becoming a thing of the past!
- snap and shoot as good as DSLRs are the things. now you don't have to look like a wedding photog with a DSLRrobotron3k

I think for stills the Fuji has it. The 35 1.4 is an astonishing lens

I've read that Fuji might be coming out with a full frame X-Pro...any updates on that?
Any rumors on Olympus offering a full frame version? I'd guess not, given the 43 growing support and following.

A full frame fuji x-pro? wow, that would be awesome but expensive.

Great camera. I'd update to a newer one in the range if i had the dosh

That's what I read (Fuji full frame). Fuji can neither deny nor confirm. Would make sense, though, given Leica's dominance and Sony's compact full frame (that is ridiculous price with a fixed lens).
If they did make one, I'd consider selling my D800...or maybe just supplementing it, damn thing weighs a freaking ton!

Full frame compacts are wave of the future.

What about the video still hybrid?
What do you guys think is best??

^for purely stills possibly the fuji.
But for pics + vids the nex6. Plus the nex has a compact (slight) wide angle lens (16-50mm).But your better off holding them both and having a play, how a cam feels is so important. And these 2 are both great cams so personal preference of ergonomics would properly be the decider.

I haven't used the Nex. I want to give it a go. The handling of the fuji and the build is fantastic. It feels like a camera. I'm always a bit disappointed by the feel of sonys. They seem too computery. The omd was the same to my mind. Very electronic and not as fun / satisfying to shoot with. Perhaps I'm being nostalgic / old fashioned! I'm not old though, or a traditionalist!
- yeh man I can see that.
a lot of people say the fujis feel like old school mechanical slrs, really solid and industrious.Hombre_Lobo
