Very cool.
I mean, of course they just show the cool things you can do. They don't show that 90% of people coding are working on boring accounting programs, and shit like that.
Anyway, I've spent the last few days improving my javascript skills, and learning processing.js.

Computers are the best and worst thing that have happened to me. I'd rather see kids out playing and getting exercise then hunched over desk the rest of their lives.

yea, coding is something everyone should venture at least once, i did part of my carreer on coding, and I'm glad I've been thru it, now I use it rarely in my animations. At least I know how things work.

Kind of refreshing. I completely remember the joy of programming in Level 2 Basic on a TRS-80 when I was in junior high, maybe around 1989, to make a cursor move randomly, or make a shape on the screen. It was such fun.

There are some really cool programs available on there. Coursera looks really promising. Considering that I am getting laid off and will be looking for a new job very soon, there are several courses I'd probably do to learn new stuff. This looks sort of interesting: https://www.coursera.org/course/…

Seems fun and happy - but in reality your hunched over a fuckin machine... making yourself blind for corporations who need code.
Only like 0.0005% do anything that makes real money or changes anything. It's an advertisement for needing more code monkeys.
