Screen recording software for PC

  What's the best (hopefully free) screen recording software for PC.

  I use iShowU for mac when recording tutorials..has nice controls that show where and when you click your mouse - so if you're recording a software tutorial say...viewers can easily see which tool you click on etc...but I need one that works for Windows.
