    The Metroflex type system is the latest addition to the GarageFonts type library, and was designed by Thomas Mettendorf of Karlsruhe, Germany. The Metroflex project began in the summer of 2000. Fritz Lang's silent film, titled Metropolis, was a key inspiration in the development of this typeface.
