hheye guys,
trying to get a row of links positioned at the bottom of my site on every page. 5/6 links space out evenly along the bottom that resize based on res/browser width.
anyone recommend a really simple tutorial on using css/divs to do that? kinda new to this stuff.
found a ton of tutorials, but seem pretty confusing. wondered if there was something specific to doing that?
thanks!

put them in a surrounding div and float all of the links left.

you will have to use percents to get it to resize

If you have any markup started, post it here for help.

i worked out the footer thanks.
i'm trying to work out how to do this:
have an image in the center that has a max size, but resizes smaller if you drag the window smaller. is that easy to do?

resize to see the image go smaller - BUT it always has some white space around it too.
any ideas?
thank you!

I can think of a couple ways. Maybe create a container for your image with your desired max-width. Then put your image in the div with a max-width of 100% for the image. It will scale proportionally with the container. That way you control that it doesn't get too large, but also down scales.
<div style="max-width: 600px" >
<img src="yourimage.jpg" style="max-width:100%;" />
</div>- The white space will be determined with your margins.ETM

Honestly if you just want to center / evenly space them width a TABLE is the easiest way to go. True story.
table { width: 100% } td { text-align: center } .......done.
If you go the div route for that particular application you're going to just be fucking around more than you should for no reason.
