Photoshop Retina Update

So I have a Macbook Pro 15" Retina. I've installed the 6.02 update so Photoshop supports the Retina display. Why do type and vector shapes still look like ass at 200%? Super crispy at 100%, but shit gets way too tiny because Photoshop actually reduces the viewing size by 50%.

If I size up the document canvas by 200% and then reduce the view size to 100%, everything looks great. But creating websites at twice the size just so they look good on my Retina display is retarded.

Am I missing something? I thought the whole point of the Retina update was for crisp artwork on the canvas. The UI graphics are all smooth, but the canvas area is still shitty.

By the way, I'm overseas at the moment and don't have access to my 27" work screen... which obviously doesn't give me this problem.

why wouldn't your work screen give you this problem?

eventually you should be adapting by now to design at least at double resolution if you are considering mobile safari is big in stats.
