It's an Industrial / Product design thing. Very fashion-forward aesthetics being taught academically; not necessarily timelessness.

Not bad, not as great as I might think considering the hype.... kind of like the stuff some of my design prof's loved.... which is probably why it gets such awards, i.e. the people who choose the winners of such contests think like my old design profs..... (not like any clients I know of)

Don't really understand the outrage here. Some of it's kinda sterile / gutless but generally it's very on point considering their clients.
