missed this in theatres, saw it tonight. bloody amazing. great story, acting, editing and action scenes throughout but not mindless. so much depth. and especially in the final 30 min it had some serious akira-ish moments which were f*ckin awesome. like you find yourself holding your breath during some of those scenes. how many movies do that nowadays? not many. i'll be grabbing the blu ray no doubt. the end.

I really liked it. Though it had this odd dated 90's vibe to it. Like that whole Crow, Dark City, Matrix era. Still a great film though.
And yup, Emily Bunt is incredible. Every scene she was in felt like an instant classic. Striked gold with her on this one.
- yeah it reminded me of strange days in a way, the city scenes, as for blunt, she is georgeous in thisprophetone

If they have a machine that can fling people through spacetime (from a warehouse to a field, back 40 years), why not instead transport them to the exact same position as the time machine - but, say, 2 days back? Then the victims would just pop into space and die, no need for Loopers or anything.
Wouldn't make for the best of movies, mind.

or have them pop back into existence above a pit of shark infested waters?

Or just have them pop right into a crematorium furnace. Done and done... and I mean well done.
