I am trying to fix a drum trigger issue I have in Ableton...
I am using Ddrum triggers (and some Roland pads) to trigger samples which are loaded into "kits" in Ableton.
The problem is when the drum stops sending a signal - the sample stops playing.
I want the sample to play from start to finish no matter what.
I am using an Alesis i/0 interface..
I think I have to change a setting in Ableton or in the Alesis to override the "0" velocity from shutting the sample off...
Anyone know how?

set the release higher?
- in simpler or sampler or the kit macro controls however you have it set up.uuuuuu
- there should be a release control knob in ableton for each sample or they are linked to main control in the kit. turn it up.uuuuuu

- I've tried that - that allows the sample to be played longer - but only as long as it is receiving velocity numbers above 0 unfortunately.grafiske
- then set the velocity senstivity to 0. that way it won't be effected by vel. at all and just play.uuuuuu

"Next we'll make sure the entire sample plays back, even from momentary triggers. This is achieved by pushing up the Release knob in the Volume Envelope section."
- I think I tried this but I will have another look... Thanks!grafiske
- either way this article is great!! thanks again.grafiske

Also, a little trick to make drum mapping easier,
grab the sample you want, add warp markers whenever you want the sample to start (double click till the gray marker turns yellow)
Then right click ' assign to sampler' and it will automatically open a new track with a drum rack and every maker will be distributed on it ready to play.
Pretty sick
