Quick question about text wrapping. I've got an image and a bit of text on a layer that the text is wrapping around. Great.
I've created another layer above this one to overlay some more text that I do not want to be wrapped. When, I check this layer's wrapping properties, it's clearly marked as "no text wrap", but whenever I move it over the other layer, I'm getting the red "x" because it's trying to wrap.
1. select the text box you don't want to wrap
2. Command - B
3. Check "Ignore Text Wrap" near bottom left
Object>Text Frame Options>Ignore Text Wrap?
perfect. thanks guys
Layers have wrapping properties?
@harbgine, actually, he said that he checked the layer's "wrapping properties." This is very misleading because it's actually the "options." Yeah, I know this sounds nit-picky, so I'll overlook that. What really bothers is that section_014 wrote that he checked "no text wrap" when in fact he actually checked "Suppress Text Wrap When Layer is Hidden." How he read that and expected the results he did is beyond my comprehension. Therefore, that's why I asked my question, which was entirely rhetorical because the answer is obviously "no."
sry monospaced, I speed read half the posts on here, and obviously blew past what you uncovered.
That option may bite me in the ass someday, and I'll remember this post. Oh yes. I'll remember.
