It's a custom font for... They're called MBAxelOne and MBAxelTwo (named after Macmillan Books and Axel Scheffler who designed the Gruffalo.) I wouldn't be surprised though if there was a font very similar to this out there that was repurposed at great expense for Macmillan Books.
Here's some that I've found... not identical but could be used to get the feel across.

even if your handwriting sucks I'd still go for it, even try using your left hand to get that slightly shaky look.
On a project ages ago I used a friends really bad handwriting on a project as it was less force and stylised.
