Don't be afraid of your fake friends man. They use you, you use them. everyone's happy. Fair trade i say. As long as you know they are your fake friends. (what i learned)
Networking is fun man! it's pretty much just going out to party for me lol. you party you have fun, you meet new people, you find out what's going on in the world or industry and you might find opportunities.
but anyway. Congrat on finding a job at the company you were looking forward to work for. Perhaps someone there saw your whining here. lol
