Is there anyone in Paris? We will be arriving feo Italy in just a few days and will be staying in Montmartre from the 17th - 23rd. Would love to meet up with anyone if you live there!
We were there 9 years ago and know our way around pretty well.

Anyone?

I live in Paris, but not much longer. Will be leaving in a few days. My last days here are pretty busy with moving out and practical shit, so don't have time for hanging out. Really sad about leaving this insanely cool city. Hope you have a nice time here, I know I have for the last 5 months...

Ah, too bad! Any suggestions for us? We were here 9 years ago, also stayed in Montmartre then. We have 6 full days. Any great exhibits or great places to just be lazy outside and watch the world go by? Latin Quarter and St. Germaine are two areas we did not spend much time in before.
Also, any fast trains out of the city to some small towns for the day?

Art galleries in the Latin quarter and St Germaine.
The cemeteries Montparnasse, Pere Lachaise and Montmartre are all very nice.
Don't take the metro all the time. Walk instead, much more exiting.
Eat Confit de Canard and drink alot of good wine.
Go to the Trocadero, near the Eiffel tower and watch the Euro 2012 on a big screen with the locals and fans from all over Europe.

And for the Confit de Canard you can try
Domaine de lintillac, metro Blanch next to montmartre.

Im going in 2 weeks, and I've mentally checked out of the office.
I've never been to Paris, so I'm pretty stoked... anyone know of any off beat things worth checking out?

^ I'll post something later today. I have my favorites, but seriously, the absolute best thing about Paris is having no agenda, picking an area, and just wandering around. Sitting at a cafe drinking an espresso for half an hour without a care in the world. Grabbing food at random. WATCHING PEOPLE - that is the best.
Such a great city.

It's a good time to register http://communedeparis2018.fr in regards to how the 1871 revolutions, otherwise know as 'commune' became fashion brand http://communedeparis1871.fr
The French are so sophisticated even their revolutions become style statements.
