Wouldn't you actually want people who go to mysite.com to end up at the subdomain of m.mysite.com when visiting the main domain on a mobile device?...

Set it up in your hosting or probably some URL rerouting in the .htaccess file.
Or just have a responsive stylesheet instead so you don't even need the subdomain
