So, what's the story behind this certificate?
- vaxorcist0
short answer.. they paid for it
long answer... it's showing not only that they're using SSL security, for a secure login when you're in, say a wifi cafe, but also that they're standing behind the security, not their ISP / host....For security, it's suggested that you use SSL for Facebook Logins, if you don't see that little SSL / logo on Facebook and you're in a wifi cafe, I'd go change your security settings....

Thanks Vaxo but...
how can a site obtain such certification?
Is it just a matter of using SSL?- Most Domain Name providers also sell SSL's or your web host toophatwrx

not sure.
I think if you only set up https, you get a not verified status.
for the green status, you need to pay for a certificate.
