hi , i need help, so i built a multilanguage website, with subdomains for each lang , the main domain is in french the subdomains all the other language, the site uses ip location so if a user is in germany it will be redirected to the site in german, right now we want to SEO the french domain but right now in the google cache there's only the english site, maybe this is due to the fact that google spider computers are mainly in the USA ? so everytime they pass thru the site they are redirected to the english site?
Sounds like you're using a bit of a poor internationalisation set up.
You should be switching languages based on browser preference rather than location.
Google spiders will then still show English if your browser is set to English but for all the frenchies, they'll see the French metadata.
^ yes, this can be done with a php header?
