A random thought:
Is the Coca-Cola formula still a secret?
Don't they make it in many bottling plants around the world? How do they keep it secret?

I don't drink 'soda' (as they call it in yankeetown) but when I do splurge out and have a Coke... damn it's delicious as all fuck.
Anyway, Coke is a secret. Though it'd be easy to get close. Mainly parts of cola + caramel + cinnamon/nutmeg + acid + salt + citrus flavours... It's pretty awesome when you know that and can actually taste lemon and cinnamon in coke.
- they call it soda because that's what it is.monospaced
- It's called pop or fizzy or fizzy pop elsewhere, ya damn yankee :)jagara

Honestly I never understand the hype...it's not bad, but the most popular drink?
A good root beer is way better

I don't drink Coke.
And if I don't drink the best, why drink the rest?
Rarely drink sodas.
Seltzer water, that's my thing.- Seltzer water is soda. Add sugar, you have Coke.monospaced

Mexican Coke is sooo much better... made with real sugar, not HFCS....
- meh... when you drink that version you literally feel your teeth eating awaymonospaced
- the real sugar corrodes so fast you'll feel like your teeth are no longer smooth. This is why we don't use that anymoremonospaced
- Mexican coke is far superior. Cold bottle of that, perfect - the best Coke experience. I have maybe 2 or 3 a year. Lovely.mikotondria3
- that is NOT the reason they don't use sugar anymore. Research corn subsidies - cheap corn syrup is ruining everything.mikotondria3

The bottling plants are sent the concentrate to add add the bottlers, only Coca-Cola knows the formula, the bottlers just know the proportions to mix the final product into.
