Sounds like my core skill set, but as an "Interactive Creative Director" I'm also managing the other designers, working on strategy, writing copy, cleaning up after account service and all other kinds of things..
190k and some benefits plz?

@Ponyboy & Toki,
Haha.. I was actually kinda hesitant to post because I don't think the position is all that lucrative. You would be working directly with a bunch of software developers + engineers who tend to abuse designers.
Also, after talking with the VP of the group it became clear they are not seeking so much a UI/UX person but more a strict UI designer - specifically someone to develop + design iconography/pictograms for their software. We have a few icon designers floating around between the various subsidiaries and my impression is that they're basically 'Hands' for the developers/engineers who cant use the tools (ie: I need an icon/ui element, here's the idea I have, now execute).
And that might sound harsher than the job actually is - I like working here and a lot of the people are super cool. We're a pretty large technology company in Southeast Michigan with good pay and benefits. I'm pretty sure they're looking for someone to work onsite, but that may be negotiable.
If it sounds like something you're interested in shoot me an email and i'll send you a link to the application site:
- Digital agencies suffer the same injustices, god damn developers lol they're never happy!tOki

It all sounds good... but I think you left out:
-Ability to get in the way when you have no business being a part of the conversation

Little rant: It drives me insane reading job postings for 'graphic designer' then getting into the blurb to find they want a web coder!!! Gah!
Actually related to question: Keep it titled 'UI/UX Designer' with the current blurb and it should be sweet.- So true! Job title - print designer, required skills - PHP, xhtml, CSS, magneto, drupal, facebooaaghh!!! LIAR!!!!Hombre_Lobo
- hah. i run into that, all the time.akrok
