Facial Recognition Billboard
http://bit.ly/xPpSXrI have some thoughts about this... but what are yours?

i think it's kind of silly to make an ad that alienates half the audience, but if it's a strong concept then whatevs.
kinda cool, kinda scary, would like to see it being used to show one version of an ad to a parent and another version to kids instead of targeting gender or race

- show a heartwarming movie poster to parents and a "fun" version to the kidsscarabin
- we do it with movie trailers all the timescarabin

cool but I get the feeling men and women will both see the same two different 40 sec or less vids being looped while they pass by in clumps :)

First step towards apps you have connected to with facebook serve you personalized ads on the street.

Nice to see a not-for-profit putting £30K to good use.

"Female passersby will be shown the full 40-second video of its ‘Because I’m a Girl’ campaign"
as IF they'll stand and watch!
How many people walking along Oxford Street have 40 seconds to spare?!

Biggest mistake advertisers can make is that people actually want to watch their shit

I've been there to see this and I've stayed in the place for almost an hour, I guess I only saw one person checking the ad.
I think the idea is awesome, and grabbed loads of media attention.. but for people walking by it has the same effect as any other ad.- but only for half the population, and only 90% of the time for them. Otherwise a black box. Weird.monospaced
- maybe the media attention more than makes up for it?scarabin
- I agree with scarabin!

what about 'womanly man faces'. I think I'd be offended it it thought I was a lady (not that I look like one...I have man face!)
