What's you opinion on the "Optical" setting in InDesign?
Any reason not to use it?

I think it's great for body copy, and I think for headlines it's a great starting place for manual kerning. I almost always apply that setting when I set type. Some typefaces don't play as well with it though, so check before applying to everything.

It all depends on the font. Many free or cheap fonts do not have great kerning built in, so use the optical.
Disregard this for script fonts though. Manually kern, or use a better font with good kerning.
