I have a crappy little Canon scanner at my desk that I use every now and then. It does the job, but I'm always having to dig through my apps to load Photoshop CS2 if I want to scan anything. Is there some genius Mac software that does the job? CS5 won't load the scanner due to some Rosetta something or other...
Any ideas?

Nice. Looks pretty decent. I'll play with it a bit. Not sure my office will justify the price tag since CS2 can do it for free. Any free options out there?

You can access the built-in OSX scanner interface from within Print/Scan preferences pane as well

Image capture isn't finding my scanner. Neither is Preview. But the Canon software or CS2 work just fine. It's plugged in via USB directly to the back of my Mac Pro. And I'm still on 10.6.8 at work so there's no Print/Scan preferences, just Print & Fax, which doesn't offer much help. Any tips on how to set a scanner up using Image Capture or Preview?

If the Printer's driver is installed, you should be able to add the Printer, and add the Scanner within the Preferences pane. I think the other software will just refer you back to the Preferences pane to create/add a printer anyway.

Thanks ribit. Unfortunately the driver software is for 10.4 and freezes every time I try to install it. I'll give one of those other methods a try.
