Was wondering if anyone knows how to help me, it appears that when I'm scaling objects (corner dragging, hold shift to keep proportion) illustrator has stopped recognizing the shift function so everything scales out of proportion.
Also, If I drag an object to duplicate it (by mouse drag, holding shift for it to stay aligned and pressing option so my cursor indicates that I can duplicate / drag object is also gone)
keyboard works fine, I restarted illustrator and still the same problem, so I'm thinking I may have pressed some sort of mystery key combination to turn this functions off, but I don't know what it is. Anyone knows?

trash the preferences and try again?

Thanks amicus
That's a good plan B
I was hoping there was a way to undo the mystery combo, I'll wait a bit to see if anyone else has an idea.

It's a known conflict with Firefox (at least it was in CS3). Close Firefox and all will be fine again.
- for being sort of lazy fox, that's good work from the fox side. lol.akrok

I sometimes have problems with keyboard shortcuts not working with adobe apps, mainly pressing space for the grab/move hand and +space for zoom. It's a conflict with some open websites on your browser... it's not specific to FF because I use Safari and it happens too. Shut down the browser and it should work.

I had this happen quite a bit with FF, which ultimately lead me to stop using.
I hope it doesn't start happening with Chrome...
