Is there a way to set all layers to "multiply" transparency in photoshop?
I have like 40 layers and am just curious.

Select all layers and then change the type to multiply?

nope

Haha, thought it might be too much to expect you could do that. I guess if this happens a lot, write an action that iterates itself.

Could just get someone to do it for $5 here:

No screen, overlays, color burns?

^ doesn't work.

Set one to multiply and any other effects.
Layer Style > Copy Layer Style
Select all other layers
Layer Style > Paste Layer Style. Not tested it, but that should work :S

@aanderton
Not sure it will copy the multiply as multiply is a blending mode and not layer style, but if you were to apply a layer style which had the multiply blending mode* then did your steps, it should work.
*like if you apply a color overlay layer style you can choose a blending mode for it.
Merry christmas!!!! :)

Hombre_Lobo, checked it earlier, works with blending mode and opacity.

put them in a folder, and set it to multiply.

Put them in a folder, and set folder to multiply.
or
Double click layer. Set the layer stlye as multiply then copy/paste style to all selected.

A bit late out of the gates but you could also use the Styles panel to create a layer style which just sets a layer to Multiply, select all layers you wish to change and then click the layer style you just made to apply to all. Kinda similar to aanderton's approach.

warning, that many layers, set to multiply may give you the spinning beach ball forever...
