I'm sure Facebook enabled this because it makes people more "social" and "connected" or whatever, but does every website (except QBN) now require you to log into Facebook to comment? I don't comment enough to know, but I wanted to post something and would rather not have my name, location and job title displayed. Anyone know if there's a way to disable or edit this info so I can post without total strangers knowing who I am?

the only way to disable it, is to only post on QBN.

I agree, it's annoying. I think sites see it as a way to get people to comment without having to go through the trouble of signing up.

@qoob I'm sure that's the case. But Facebook should let you edit what info you want displayed to the public. Then again, there's a lot of things Facebook should let you do...
- There probably are some privacy settings for that.monospaced
- Might be...but they're not easily accessible. I can't seem to locate them if they exist.CincodeMayo

I'm a little worried about shit automatically posting what you're looking at on other websites on Facebook. I noticed that a few friends FB pages had listed things on Yahoo that they had recently viewed. They weren't likes or shares, it was posting it automatically.

I made a comment on youtube a couple of days ago and later I was mortified to see it in my Facebook news feed...

I've seen this too, and it's shit like this that makes me want to disconnect from every social network, period. Hasn't happened to me yet that something I've viewed got posted to FB without my say-so, but if it ever does, I'm off for good.

I read something last week about porn sites that now have Google+ likes and Facebook Likes and Sharing, for porn videos! Could you imagine that showing up in there? "College Chick Rides Big Black ThunderDong" won't look too good to my parents or my fiancé.

Your dad just googled "mg33 college" found this post and is busy watching "College Chick Rides Big Black ThunderDong"
