The best players of all time always need to be in a rhythm to be able to play like they can. Jordan was like that, so is Kobe. When Kobe isnt that involved in the game for whatever reason, he cant seem to make random shots at a high percentage.
Same thing with Harden and Durant. There needs to be more flow to the offense, more balance to get everyone clicking, well Westbrook is denying them that. So when he falls apart at the end of games, other guys are feeling the rhythm and cant make their shots, but he never involved them enough so they were ice cold when they got the ball.
This is the core of what basketball is all about. Feel and rhythm. Teams that win championships like the Spurs, Lakers, Heat all have great balance. OKC didnt have that last night. They had 1 dude taking shots trying to be a hero. It doesnt work that way and it is his fault. He's the PG. It's his job to make things flow and he's fighting against that just so he can look like a stud.
- *other guys ARENT feeling the rhythmCygnusZero4
- whatever you get what I mean, He's fighting against the flow of a good balanced offense by not distributing enough.CygnusZero4

OKC lost because Harden played like shit... you cant hang the loss on Westbrook cause of the one mistake he made, the kid was lights out all night.
If Harden was actually hitting his shots and not blowing open dunks, the series would be tied.

the foul RW committed after the jump ball was total lack of experience. i'm surprised brooks didnt yell out the 5 sec shot clock to his team before the jump.
RW went off in this game though. but so did chalmers and lbj was clutch even with the cramp. as soon as he got back in after being down 94-92, they go on a 7-0 run.

Looks like James will get his ring, but 1 wont be nearly enough for what he promised when those 3 got together.
Westbrook is way too much of a ball hog and thinks he's the best player on the team which he isnt. Takes way too many shots for a PG when he needs to be distributing more for a more balanced offense and get everyone involved and flowing well. Instead he tries to do it all himself and they still lost.
Durant should be putting up 40 in these games, and when he's in a rhythm he's much more clutch down the stretch than Westbrook. Then Westbrook makes 2 critical mistakes at the end. He's trying so hard to be the reason why they win, and they're losing because of it. Durant is a 3x scoring champ and can beat the Heat if the rest of the guys just do their jobs but Westbrook is fucking it up. He doesnt get what it takes to beat the best teams.
- I feel like Durant has had good looks but hasn't been able to capitalize on them.WrappedInBooks
- He needs to be in a rhythm. Jordan was like that too.CygnusZero4
- Westbrook was the best player in the court last night. All this hype about him playing "wrong" comes from people who are casual fans.scrameone

Cygnus you are right for the big part about him...what I like about him is that he is a pass-first superstar, and he has a lot of assists (even when he was in Cleveland) BUT he is annoying sometimes...decision show, parade thing, king lebron stuff
but of course, he can laugh at my bank account, at my basketball skills, my dick size...there's many things that Lebron can say about me, and I think that I should stop hatin him :)

That special he did, the decision show, made a lot of money, all of which he gave to a foundation he supports. As far as the wording he used about bringing his talents to south beach, yeah that wasnt smart, but that doesnt make him a villain or anything. And yeah he also looked stupid when he said they would win not 1, not 2, not 3, etc... championships, but whatever, he isnt the brightest guy in the world, but he's not a bad guy either.
He does have a pretty mild ego for someone as good as he is and for how much attention he gets. He's been pretty normal for the most part. He even took a Cavs team to the FInals that had no business being within a sniff of it. That was all him on a very mediocre team. How many players have ever done that before? Having a little ego isnt the worst thing in the world. He's certainly no Ron Artest which is a good thing. He doesnt talk much shit during games or celebrate too much, or give himself all the credit. He never does that.
- Hes been branded as the villain. This is obviously to help drive story lines and keep people talking, to keep the NBA relevant.desmo
- relevant. Why is Durant 'the good guy'? Makes for a great Finals match up.desmo
- Durant is the Good Guy because hes humble, and he stayed with the team that drafted him, even when he had the chance to jump ship. He stayed the course, how can you not respect that?Al_dizzle
- the chance to jump ship. He didn't. He showed class and loyalty... so yeah hes the good guy.Al_dizzle

LBJ is definitely not a poser. The guy is the real deal. As far as skills he's definitely up there with some of the best that ever played. He can shoot, is a big strong guy so he can post up, can attack the rim and score at will, so teams basically foul him a lot, which puts them in foul trouble and puts him at the line, where he has a pretty good percentage.
He's very tough to deal with, and although he does have a mild ego, he's really not an asshole or anything and his ego isnt over the top. He doesnt often talk shit or celebrate much on the court, doesnt talk about himself all the time. I really dont have a problem with him.
He gets a lot of hate because he's talented and popular.

these have beens some really enjoyable games to watch, with the 3rd qtr lead swings.

it is really a tough choice between these two teams:
on the one side there's a glory hunting mix of roar like an idiot when I dunk/block annoying characters like Ibaka and Westbrook...Perkins: extremely annoying fat arsed the only guy who tried to have a fight with every single center in the league (even Duncan)...Durant doesn't give the ball to no one, but on the other hand he is pouring 30,40 a night whenever he wants and is one of the best players in the world, so ok...Harden - meh, ok I guess...
and on the other side:
just a bunch of posers except Battier...I loved and supported them from the 90s...they were cool with young wade and o'neal but now: plastic fans with plastic fancy ass players...
fuck it is just sad without boston and san antonio...
- posers? LBJ is putting up minutes and numbers nobody's seen in year.brandelec
- guy who calls himself king...poserloool
- I dont think he made that name up for himself. I dont recall him ever saying it either.CygnusZero4
- Rajon Rondo was putting is 46/48 minutes a game. It was too bad Pierce and Garnett couldn't keep up.WrappedInBooks

Wade's been playing well, just not up to his potential, and he is dealing with a knee injury. If he were 100% like he was about a month ago, yeah they would be absolutely thrashing the Thunder.
The Thunder are a rock solid team, but I think Westerboke is a serious problem. He thinks he's as good as Durant, and I do think that team is capable of winning this series, but it has to be put on the REAL stars shoulders to do it, and he can do it, but Westbroke is not allowing him to. He wants so badly to be a part of why they win, and is not nearly as efficent of a scorer as Durant is, so he is really hurting them right now.
- < last year against the mavs they went out just because of his selfishnessloool
- I know. He hasnt changed this year and even said yesterday he wont change how he plays.CygnusZero4
- Hope he sleeps well in the offseason his ego denied 14 other guys a ring.CygnusZero4
- *knowing his ego...CygnusZero4
- brandelec0
and wade's been struggling all series plus huuuuge back to back 4th quarter mistakes and nobody's says anything
- CygnusZero40
I dont know why Lebron gets so much 4th qtr flack. He was pretty damn good down the stretch of games when he was in Cleveland. I remember seeing him hit tons of game winners and thrashing better teams than the Cavs were at the end of games.
Then he goes to a new team, happens to stink it up in the Finals, was not very clutch when he needed to be in the 4th quater for 1 series, and suddenly this guy cant finish games? Seems like this all started with that, and you cant get down too hard on him. He didnt know what he was doing there last year. They've figured it out now.
