There was a thread previously for DJ/Production headphones.
I thought i'd start one for suggestions for WORK headphones as we're about to buy a load of pairs for everyone.
Budget is £50 a pair.
Looking for best comfort (7.5 hours listening a day!) and best sound.
Any suggestions.
Not in-ear heaphones.
Only over ear, closed/open backs.

A bit over-budget but great value, very comfy

- yeah, and mine also BROKE... stay away from these unless you need them for DJingclearThoughts
- yes they break easily at the hinge they can last like 4-5 months, also over priced..e-pill
- sound quality and bass is quite nice though..e-pill

Or these if you like bass, get sweaty ears after a bit though:

With this budget, it doesn't get better than Sony's 80's classic MDR V-6

On a separate note, I've worked in places before where everyone is on headphones and it can be very anti-social.
Worked at a place once where one of the bosses absolutely needed silence in order to function, so everyone (about 10 peeps) had to wear headphones, got annoying having to tap people on the shoulder to ask a question. Because of this, there were very few studio conversations where people just chipped in, lame.
People missed out on a lot of my witty quips, poor buggers.
But hey, sometimes you've got to knuckle down and work whilst listening to N-Dubz, they're sick blud, fuck being social and shit.

I've never been a fan of Sony headphones.
Used to have them back in the day with ol walkmans etc and they just never lasted.I think the one's we're going for are these Panasonic ones.
It's not me thats been doing the research, been another guy at work. Seemingly good write-ups and they look nice too.Panasonic RP-HTX7-W1
Around £44
Plus they come in allsorts of colours.

I find this shootout review quite reliable:
