You can't force the way it renders. It doesn't seem to be using the same font on the PC anyway. Are you using a web font service or just have the font file on your site?

well the mac is rendering helvetica and the PC is rendering arial.
What do I have to do - to make it show up perfectly on both browsers?

Oh...and browsers render different as well on PC and Mac. :(
- webtype.com is supposed to serve properly hinted fonts on a case by case basis. i've not used them though.DeSiard

I hate to say it, but in the Mac example, it's not Helvetica, it's also Arial.
In any case, you're agonising uselessly. Anti-aliasing for type on Windows is something that is left up to the user, with turning ClearType on or off. Even with ClearType on, it won't look as good as on a Mac.
Tis the way of things.

Are you setting css as?: font-family: Arial, Helvtica, sans-serif;

I'm not controlling the CSS - we had a site outsourced and I thought there might be a way out of this font problem with CSS.

I guess slicing images is the only way to get it perfect.
