    Oops. Germany's coat of arms:

Oh, dear. Rather than worrying about regional heraldry, perhaps they should exmaine their policies to see if they're visitor/investor-friendly.

By their argument, Germany – Europe's best performing economy for ages should have stayed in the economic gutter, based solely on their coat of arms:

    What utter tosh.

    • Either that, or visitors and investors need to grow a pair.Continuity

    From the Times

For decades, Flanders has taken pride in its flag depicting a rampant roaring lion brandishing blood-red claws.

Now, however, leaders of Belgium’s Dutch-speaking region have accused the medieval beast of terrifying investors and visitors and have opened a competition for a friendlier Flemish logo.

Kris Peeters, the president of Belgium’s most prosperous region, said the fierce animal was sending the wrong message.

“Flanders stands for an open and warm society. Sadly, not everybody is convinced. Especially abroad, the picture of how people see Flanders is very fragmented,” he told a parliamentary conference. Mr Peeters was speaking as Flemish and French-speaking politicians tied up a pact that should end Belgium’s record 16 months without a working government.

Another classic case of redesigning the logo hoping that will be enough rather than changing a company ethos?
