Print production tutorials / tips?

I want to take a crash course in print production.
I know the basics, and have read a few books which were kind of basic.Besides learning on the job, are there any online sources you would recommend?

i worked as a printer for a number of years. biggest problems working with freelancers were:
1. designers not understanding rgb vs cmyk
2. designers not using masks/transparencies correctly
3. designers not understanding differences in black ink output.and on a separate but related note, i'm not sure what they're teaching in schools these days, but there were a number of fresh freelancers that would refer to sherwin williams paint colors thinking they were pantone...
